Pulau Weh is a Beautiful Island

First of all, I wanna say welcome new year 2017. It is my first time in this year I post a story on my new blog. Yup, this is my new blog because I've deleted my old blog. Why did I delete it??? Actually I don't know why I did it but now I think I regret it. Okay no problem, don't mind about it. This time I'm going to share my experiences when I visited a little paradise in my country.

The name of the place is Pulau Weh. Pulau Weh or Weh Island located on the Island of Sumatra. Wow, how can I reach Pulau Weh in Sumatra while I live on Java Island? This is because God gives me a chance to go there :D

I went to Pulau Weh with my sister (I've regarded her as my real sister). I really thank her because she was willing to come there only with me while she had never gone there before. To reach Pulau Weh, my sister and I had to take a ferry from Pelabuhan Ulee Lheue, Banda Aceh. We went there by motorcycle. When we arrived at Pelabuhan Ulee Lheue, we bought two tickets for us and a ticket for my sister's motorcycle. Great, it was my first time going to somewhere by ferry. I saw some dolphins there but unfortunately I couldn't take the picture of them. It was too hard to catch them on camera. But I was grateful because I could see the dolphins directly in the ocean from the top of that ferry. Thanks God. 

After about 90 minutes, we finally arrived at Pelabuhan Balohan, Sabang. Then we started our journey there. My sister ride her motorcycle and we went to gas station first to refuel. Along the way I saw a very beautiful scenery. I think I was very lucky because I could be there. Our first destination is Tugu 0 Kilometer, Sabang. When we were in the middle of the way to reach there, we saw a monument of "I Love Sabang". We certainly didn't want to lose our chance to take some pictures there, so we stopped and took some pictures.

 

Okay, when we thought that it was enough to take some pictures there, then we continued our journey to reach Tugu 0 Kilometer, Sabang. It needed about 30-40 minutes to reach there from "I Love Sabang" monument with an uphill road. When we got confused about the direction, we asked the people there. We were lucky to always meet kind and friendly people there. We also met friendly animal on the way when we almost arrived at Tugu 0 Kilometer, they are the monkeys :D They came to the middle of the road may be to welcome us :D But there is no picture of them. We just took some pictures when we stopped for a while because we needed to ask someone about the hotels around there. 

After sometime, we finally arrived at Tugu 0 Kilometer, Sabang. Yipiiiii, it was like a dream that I was at the most western point of Indonesia. Before took some pictures there, we ate first because we felt tired and hungry. We went to a food stall and ordered noodles and young coconuts. 

 

I was full after finished our lunch there. Then we started to enjoy the most western point of Indonesia. As usual, we took some pictures. Not much people there because when we went to there, it was low season. Not much tourists came there. What a precious moment. We really took much advantages of this. But that time, the monument was being repaired.

 

Well, we have eaten, we have taken some pictures. So we thought that we had to find a mosque for Dhuhr prayer. At first, we went to a mosque near that place. But unfortunately, there was no water there. Then we continued our journey to the next destination and we hoped we would find a mosque there. We started to find Iboih beach. I don't remember how much time that we spent to reach Iboih beach from Tugu 0 Kilometer. But I think we didn't spend much time to get there. And we also found a mosque there. Then my sister parked her motorcycle in front of the mosque. We took wudhu for prayer. After finished our prayer, we took a rest for a while and charged our phone there. While we charged our phone, there was someone who came near to us and offered us to rent snorkeling equipments. I didn't take his offer because that time I had no plan for it. I didn't bring more clothes for snorkeling. So I missed the opportunity to enjoy snorkeling there. But never mind. One day I will go there again for it. After we charged our phones, we went to Iboih beach by walking. Because Iboih beach is not far from the mosque. Woohooo I really love the beach.

From the Iboih beach, we continued our trip to another place. We also had to find a hotel for leaving our heavy bags and for sleeping at night. Then we went to Anoi Itam Resort. I have unforgettable moment there. At Anoi Itam Resort, I accidentally met a very important person in Sabang. Yes, he is the mayor of Sabang, Mr. Zulkifli H Adam. Amazing, he really made my day. I was sooooo happy to meet him. Actually at the first, I didn't know that he is the mayor of Sabang. But his co-worker told me to find out who is the mayor of Sabang on Google :D Then I tried to find out on Google, yeah I got it. I got a picture of someone in front of me, someone who talked to me. Wow I couldn't believe it. As a mayor, he is very humble and friendly. He asked me about where I come from. I told him that I am from West Java. We were engaged in conversation long enough. And we also took some pictures together but I don't want to show you here haha. Before we ended our conversation, he gave me his name card. Then I asked permission to him to leave him for enjoying the view at Anoi Itam resort. So glad to meet you, Sir. You've completed my journey on Pulau Weh, Sabang :D

After talking with Mr. Zulkifli and his co-workers, my sister and I went around Anoi Itam Resort. We met the manager of the resort at the back of that resort. He was feeding the fishes there when we came. When he saw our coming there, he offered us to feed the fishes. Of course we accepted his offer. He gave us some breads then we gave it to the fishes. I could see many fishes there. The manager said that he came there regularly to feed fishes to decrease his stress. Yes, I think so. It can decrease the stress feeling. Then we asked to take picture together for keeping this memory. He also asked to take picture together by his phone. Thank you for giving us the chance to feed the fishes there.

 

We enjoyed the twilight at Anoi Itam Resort. But we didn't take a room for sleeping there. We came back to the downtown to find a hotel room for us. I searched for some references on Google about the hotel which is near to the downtown, then I choosed to come to Citra hotel. And finally we got a room there. We got lower prices because before took a room I made a deal first with the owner to reduce the room rates for us. And she agreed, thank you soooo much :D I love that place because it was clean and wide enough for us.

Yeaaaaah, finally we could take a rest after we spent whole day outside to enjoy our first day on a beautiful Island. Then we prayed, we ate, we took a bath, we slept at hotel before we continued our second day. It was great. But I think I am feeling tired now.
